If you haven’t worked with a personal trainer, it’s hard to know what to expect. The image you have in mind may be entirely different from the reality.
Many people are skeptical about personal trainers who train clients in big-box gyms, largely due in part to the old-school, “no pain, no gain” methodology, that has brought us bootcamps and burpees. At Pongo Power, we won’t be asking you to perform a million burpees and bicep curls: unless, of course, you want to learn how to do them safely and effectively!
We are here to help you achieve your goals. Your objectives may not be the goals that modern media and consumerism support. Your goals may be unique and they may be simple, as well. Whatever attaining that next level of health and fitness means for you; we’ll be there with you, and create the proper strategy to meet your needs. We don’t want to change you. We want to empower you with the tools necessary to live a vital and energetic life: and whatever that looks like is super specific to who you are.
How do we do this? Our personal trainers are well-versed in a wide variety of training modalities. We are also all certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Want to learn how to lift heavy weights? We have a trainer for that.
Curious about learning the basics of breakdancing or modern dance? Our trainers can help you.
Be it swinging steel clubbells; mastering kettlebell technique; or incorporating some yoga postures in your everyday life; Pongo Power’s personal trainers can show you how.
We won’t push fat loss on you, but we are certainly equipped to help with fat loss if you’re interested. We can also help you train for a marathon, or even just run your first mile. Perhaps you have tension in your neck and jaw? We can help you lose that pain, too!
You may be wondering: what if I don’t have any fitness goals? What if I don’t know where to start, but I know that I should start by doing something? Hey, we’ve been there. So have many of our clients! Come in for a free fitness assessment. We’ll see where you’re at physically and mentally, and do a quick movement analysis to see how your body moves. No pressure to figure it all out upfront.
