All Pongo Power Personal Trainers are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, considered to be the gold standard of fitness certifications. Our team of trainers are required to pursue continuing education in the field as it relates to their specializations, which range from Medical Exercise; Strength and Conditioning; Clubbell Training; Nutritional Learning, and more. It is with this breadth of knowledge that we are able to create effective and safe personal training protocols, for each unique client who walks through our door.

Pongo Power is home to ViPerform™ technology, which accurately assesses high-risk movements with measurable data. This enhances our personal trainers’ ability to evaluate, screen, and assess clients.

ViPerform™ is a wireless sensor technology that tracks and measures how clients move in real time. The ViPerform™ system consists of wearable-motion and muscle-activity sensors that record data, at 200 frames per second; as well as intuitive software, with sophisticated algorithms, that turn robust data into easy-to-read and meaningful results.

Pongo Power personal trainers use ViPerform™ to monitor runners’ gaits, perform knee health tests, and assess the possible causes of lower back pain.

Accurate Metabolism Tests

If you’re trying to lose weight, you know how difficult it can be; especially without the knowledge needed to make weight maintenance healthy, achievable, and sustainable. At Pongo Power, our personal trainers use a KORR Metabolic Analyzer to measure how many calories you burn per day, so that you know exactly how much to eat, while still losing weight.

Healthy weight loss happens when your body is at an energy deficit. This means you’re burning more calories than you are consuming, in a consistent fashion.

By testing your unique metabolic rate, we can determine your target calorie zones. This will ensure you’re maintaining enough of an energy deficit to lose weight, without undereating.

Sustainable weight loss is never achieved through starvation diets. Even if you’ve had trouble dieting before, knowing your target calorie zone will help you eat a satisfying amount of food while losing fat in a healthy way.
